Mrs. Bajaj recognised a long-held dream when she founded Hamaara Sapna in 2011. Born and raised in Kolkata, Mrs. Bajaj has been actively involved and inspired by her parents and their unparalleled dedication and commitment to Mother Teresa. Today she serves as Honorary Director of the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation and is involved in its various activities like the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Awards. Her contribution on the restoration of Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Byculla contributed to the bestowment of a UNESCO award upon the museum. Additionally, Mrs. Bajaj has served as President of the Ladies’ Wing of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC). She is also a director in Baroda Industries and Hind Musafir travel agency, both of which fall under the Bajaj Group umbrella.

Mrunal Samant contributed to the community by working with visually impaired people. She also shows great interest in working with women and children. She has completed her graduation from the Commerce Stream. She has an experience of over fifteen years in the financial sector.

Shobha Bhuwalka

Ms. Shobha has done her M.S.W from Karve Institute of Social Service, Pune (1998).She has worked in the field of women and children very closely and many community based programmes. She utilises her experience of working in the field of medicine and the social segment to bring about positive changes in women. Her vast experience of capacity building, planning and management is very useful and apt when looking after Hamaara Sapna.

Priti Lopes

Project Co-ordinator – Dharavi

Priti Lopes has completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Normal Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai. Her experience of interacting and working with women in slum communities has made her well versed with the challenges that they face. Priti believes that when women become self- reliant, they become self-confident and self-dependent.

Vaishali Deore

Project Co-ordinator – Pune

Vaishali has been active in the field of social work since her childhood. In her career, she has worked as a trainer with many organizations dealing with issues related to gender, education, reproductive health and livelihood. She has experience of working with children, youth, and ladies of various age groups. To make her dreams come true she has joined Hamaara Sapna Pune as a Project Co-ordinator.

Haresh Shah

Honorary Advisor

Mr. Shah, as an expert in both the Development and Khadi sectors, serves as Hon. Advisor to Hamaara Sapna. In this capacity he assists with resources, technical referrals and market and fashion know-how. Mr. Shah is also the Joint Secretary of the Yusuf Meherally Centre. He is working towards comprehensive rural development in the field of health, education and livelihood.

Ms. Karkannavar supports Hamaara Sapna management in the areas of administration, operations, planning and capacity building programs. She is the Secretary of the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation. The empowerment of rural people and women are causes close to her heart.
