Legal Rights for Women

An interesting and informative session was conducted by Megha Didi, an economics graduate - studying LLB at K C Law College Mumbai. Being from the law field, she was able to catch the pulse of the beneficiaries as she spoke to them about the legal rights that a woman has but often is unaware of. The session also discussed the constitutional rights of women and in what circumstances can she exercise her rights. Women were informed about what rights they have at the police station and how how to use your rights in such situations. Other rights and issues related to them were also discussed. Fear and ignorance leads one nowhere. Different schemes that the beneficiaries can avail of were provided by Ms. Megha.
